KID FRIENDLY PUNKIN RUN: Bikefest '08 in Seaside, OR - Sat. July 12th

OK people, let's ride!

Whether you ride Harley, Honda or a Vespa, the Killer Punkin is headin' to Seaside for Bikefest '08 and wants YOU (and a child, if you have one) to come along! It's a chance to take the kids on a scenic ride and show them what motorcycling is all about... the wind in your... helmet(?) and just rolling with the countryside on a longer ride than 'to the video store and back'.

My 12 yr old daughter and I went last year (she's coming this year as well) and it was a blast! Tons of beautiful custom motorcycles will be on display on the streets of Seaside, including YOURS so shine it up; NO ARMOR ALL though. >:)

I'm in Camas, but I feel the best starting point would be the Starbucks at 18318 NW Evergreen Pkwy. Be fueled up and plan to leave the lot by 8:00am. We'll go out 26 to Seaside (about 70 miles, I checked), and end up at the convention center.

MY plan is to enjoy the show and festivities 'til about 2, meet up (with anyone who wants to) for lunch at Pizza Hut (or any other restaurants around there) at that time, and roll out for home around 3-3:30pm, heading back up 26 towards Portland with people peeling off as needed.

OR, you can ride down with the group, and go solo once we arrive. It's not like this is an 'organized event' or anything. Besides, aren't bikes about FREEDOM anyway! :P

There's a lot of stuff you can do (Poker Run, Show n Shine, vendors, etc.) and there's an entry fee if you want your bike judged. You'll also get a shirt, a ride pin. All the details are here:

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail (bigman5@comcast.net)if you think you're going to make it, so I can get a rough estimate of riders, and let me know if you have a CHATTERBOX/SCALA-RIDER, I'd like to sprinkle some communication throughout the pack to make sure no one gets left behind.

Hope to see ya there!
